50th anniversary collection

French Publications during WWII

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the French Library and Cultural Center in 1945, a special collection of French books published in New York City during World War II was established in 1995. Assembled to honor our ten founders, members of the Boston Chapter of France Forever, the books treat a variety of topics from war-time politics to belles lettres and were published by Brentano's, Editions de la Maison Française, Didier and Jacques Schiffrin/Pantheon.
