Marketing Assistant

The FAB's Marketing Department is currently accepting applications for a full time Marketing Assistant position. The Marketing Assistant will work with the Marketing Manager on various initiatives to promote the cultural and educational programs of the FAB.

Tasks and learning opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • research,
  • direct marketing,
  • PR,
  • data base management,
  • web marketing,
  • web editing,
  • design of print collaterals
  • and general administrative tasks.

Skills:

  • hardworking, creative, resourceful, flexible, and dedicated
  • previous Marketing experience required
  • computer proficiency
  • knowledge of French a plus but not a requirement

Marketing Intern

The FAB's Marketing Department is currently accepting applications for its Spring/Summer 08 internship program. Hardworking, creative, resourceful, motivated, flexible, and dedicated candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • Knowledge of French a plus but not a requirement.
  • Previous Marketing experience strongly preferred.

The intern will work with and learn from the Marketing Manager.
Tasks and learning opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • marketing research,
  • direct marketing,
  • PR,
  • data base management,
  • web marketing,
  • web editing,
  • and general administrative tasks.

Interns may also be asked to assist other departments from time to time. Internships at the FAB are a great opportunity to develop professional skills and to learn how to work in a multicultural organization. The internship runs from May to the end of August. Interns are expected to work 12-15 hours/week and be present at some events (will include some evenings and weekends).

The internship is unpaid but may be used for academic credits.

Receptionist

The French Library Alliance Française of Boston is looking for several receptionists (full-time and part-time). Be part of a fun Franco-American environment!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering the phone, meeting and greeting all members and guests, taking reservations for our events and classes.

Required Skills:

  • Fluent in both in French and English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Well-organized, detail oriented
  • Excellent telephone manners

French Teachers - Summer Session

The FAB is currently looking for qualified (FLE) and experienced Native French speakers to teach classes and private lessons during the Summer Session (9 - week session). Schedule includes weekdays and some evenings from July 7 to September 2. Candidates must have the authorization to work in the United States.
